I. Overview

FleshChamer is an /* horror */ 3D Action-RPG.
Written for GP2X console.
Pure SDL...I pray for...

 It is my first C++ project, this is my first software renderer system,
and somewere are great grammar monsters are hidindg inside project to strike
on user.

 The game was inspired by those titles like Utima 5-6, Ecstatica,
Final Fantasy VI, Alone In The Dark, Anciend Domains Of mystery.
 But at the end my project became somewhat radical from them all.
 So I believe it is just unique now.
 Anyway these 8bits video and sound are my limit, not of gp2x.

The Story:
 You are awaken as some kind of summoned Incubus-demon to this world,
but summoning ritual was not perfect and you begining your
path almost helpless.
 To return to your home you must complete the bloody task, that
summoners are wants from you. By coming more an more to your
target you becoming more and more powerful. But no intention of
conquering this falling World are haunting you... 


II. Controls

 Stick   - Controls player character
 A,B,X,Y - Actions ( chosen from Character's screen )
 L       - Item Quick Menu
 R       - Actions Quick Menu
 SELECT  - Character's screen

 START   - Main Menu

 note: 
the game supports two moving methods 
              1. (Directional) Camera relative
              2. (Positional)  Character relative (for instance, like in Resident Evil)
    _this option can be changed in [Main Menu] - [Options]

The FleshChasmer supports GP2X Cradle.
When game founds plugged gamepad she assigns all of control to it and shrinks screen for
correct TV output. You will need at least 2-axis gamepad with 10 buttons.
Stick button in cradle mode is equal to L+R shoulder buttons pressed simultaniosly.

III. GamePlay

The first few levels of game you are unable to view the character's screen.<SELECT>
Monsters amounts are infinite (like System Shock II)
Sometimes it is good to retreat from some monsters which is causing cautioun for
your level/class situation.
There a four classes are to gain levels up in(fighter, thief, mage, cleric)
When switching current class you are losing all your exp progress in current level,
so it is best to switch class just after level-up.
HP(hitPoints) and MP(Magic Points) are talking about themselfs.
The MV(Move Points, Stamina) is affecting your speed and time costs for strike and
paralyze from enemy's damage.
MV regens slowly when moving and much faster when standing.
Exp are mostly gained from causing damage to monsters. The CHARISMA atributte
affects EXP gained after killing.
Some places reqiuire Z-button(Stick Button) to activate themself(ladders)
The game saves when entering new level(autosave) or when quiting game with no monsters
in sight.



IV. TroubleSlashing

Game Play Tips:
  If you cannot beat someone, then you are new to rpg - levelup more times.
  It is good to get 1lvl of cleric for his cure illness spell.
  Ice/Fire/Thunder Scrolls are giving next spell level (MAX=3), the mage-class
  must read these to gain lvl3 spells.


Known bugs: (I'm not lazy but very busy)
  Sometimes Music behaves ugly, especially when restarting game. And some nor linear
volume fades happens. Crashes are almost unusual cause already fixed all of them :/
  Looks strange on TV. No multiplayer (I promise that feature in my next game)

  Overclock: the game is runs fine on 200mHz. There is no Frame limiter so overclock
will increase gaming speed. When mentioning the time you completed the game you are
encouarged to tell also a processor speed ;P.

  This version using RamHack(Craigs timing I belive). There is no option to turn
RamHack off in this version. Sorry if your GP2X doesn't support ramhack :(
  The project should work fine on 2+ Firmwares.
I haven't any chance to test my project on firmwares below 2.0.0(Feared get a brick!)
  
  I'm using SDL (for video, sound, control).
So please, have intalled SDL libraries, otherwise you may have no sound or
something more worse like immortal monsters, no item drops from defeated foes,
joking of corse :)

  There also was spotted a FPS drop of 3-8 when running FleshChasmer after using
the GP2X standart video player. I believe that is the SDL's fault. I do not know is this
happens on FW 3.0.0. Reseting Gp2x are solving this perfomance slowdown.

  If you have encoutered a problem with general gameplay DO NOT! e-mail author. Me is
busy making FleshChamer II. So your e-mail will be void without response.

V. License (they will never find you there)

The software are "as is..."
Author are not responsible if this game kills your family or beloved one.
GamePark Holdings are not responsible too, so do not kill them, and neither
abduct their children.
Keep away from children below 16 and dwarfes below 8 level of experience.
The game has no blood but just many big red pixels, sex scenes are just a
result of your spoiled imagination/
You are also not allowed to compile this readme file with any C++ compilator...

... damn I will never write a good readme.txt :-/
